Generative AI & AI-Assisted Technologies Policy

International Journal of Education, Technology and Science (IJETS) is committed to maintaining the international academic regulations of integrity, originality, and ethics. Since Generative AI and AI-Assisted Tools are commonly utilized for academic purposes in all means, IJETS has adopted the following policy to ensure academic quality and ethical publications in its issues.

1. Authors may use Generative AI and AI-Assisted Tools solely in order to correct grammar and/or to improve comprehensibility of the manuscript under author supervision, with the author fully responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the final content. Any use of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Tools in the manuscript preparation process must be specified in a specific part titled “AI Use Statement” just before the References part.

2. Authors must not use Generative AI and AI-Assisted Tools to generate theoretical part of the study, to generate the research data, or to present the results. Likewise, Generative AI and AI-Assisted Tools must not be used to create or  enhance figures and images. If their use is an essential part of the research methodology, it must be  clearly explained in the Method part.

3. Reviewers or editors must not generate their reports using Generative AI and AI-Assisted Tools. All sorts of review reports should reflect a scholarly critical judgment of a qualified human being.

4. IJET's Generative AI and AI-Assisted Toolspolicy aligns with the international ethical guidelines including those of COPE, ICMJE, and major scholarly publishers. Misuse or undisclosed use of Generative AI and AI-Assisted Tools will be considered a breach of publishing ethics and will result in manuscript decline or formal investigation.
